Stillwater County has taken two well samples, one on November 18, 2025 and one on November 25, 2025, after the potential aquifer contamination that occurred on November 15, 2025.
Both samples were positive for coliform, but negative for e. coli. At this time, it is recommended that you continue to use caution with your well water and have your individual wells tested for coliform and e. coli.
Test kits can be picked up at the Park City Water and Sewer office, or directly from Energy Labs in Billings. All samples should be returned to Energy Labs in Billings, 1120 South 27th Street, or a laboratory of your choosing.
It is the responsibility of the property owner to collect the water sample and pay for the laboratory testing. Stillwater County or Park City Sewer and Water District are not responsible for collecting the sample or paying for the testing.
It is recommended to use water sample bottles which are available at the Stillwater County Environmental Health Office or Park City Sewer and Water District Office. Stillwater County Environmental Health Office is located at 431 Quarry Rd in Columbus.
