2020 Roadside Vegetation Management Plan

Announcement for Bid

The Stillwater County Weed District has developed the following plan for roadside management of noxious weeds on county right-of-ways and is accepting bids until 4:00 pm on Friday, April 24, 2020.

Stillwater County is seeking bids for one area, Area 1 will be offered for bid to a certified licensed and insured independent contractor.

Bidding Details:

a) Contractors will be awarded only one area, although multiple areas can be bid. This is to ensure that the application will be completed in a timely manner.

b) Contractors will supply all equipment and labor necessary to control all noxious weeds from the roadside to the edge of County right-of-ways. Please enclose a list of equipment intended to use in your bid area.

c) The Weed District will supply the herbicide and determine the rate at which it will be applied.

d) The contractor will bid an hourly rate and, if successful, will be awarded a detailed contract for the 2020 season. Include your bid announcement, summary plan and how you plan to treat the area you are bidding.

Area Details:

✓ Area One: Includes all the maintained county roads south of the Town of Absarokee, the Carbon County line to the east, the Sweet Grass County line to the west, and U.S Forest Service boundary to the south.

Required Information:

✓ The hourly bid rate for the area(s) you are interested in treating.

✓ A copy of your commercial applicator’s license.

✓ A copy of your independent contractor’s license.

✓ A copy of your Certificate of Liability Insurance.

✓ A list of the equipment intended to use for treatment of the bidding area(s).

✓ A summary plan of how you intend to treat the area(s) being bid.

✓ Applicator will be required to document the application records provided by Stillwater County Weed District.

✓ GPS documentation is required for all spraying records.

Prior to being considered for bid, the above “Required Information”

MUST be included in your bidding packet.

Submit your bid by 4:00 pm on Friday, April 24, 2020 to: Stillwater County Finance Office, PO Box 795, Columbus, MT 59019 or hand delivered to their office on the 2nd floor of the Stillwater County Courthouse. Envelopes should be clearly marked “Weed Control Bid”. All bids will be opened during the Commissioner’s Agenda Meeting on Tuesday, April 28 at 9:00 am: 400 E. 3rd Ave North, 1st floor meeting of the County Courthouse. Bid awards will be determined by the Weed Board at their meeting on April 29, 2020.
