This position is responsible for operating the communications system for the Stillwater County Sheriff’s Department. Position is responsible for receiving all incoming calls and notifying the appropriate agencies or police officers of the situation and/or emergencies. This position performs operational duties which require attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness, which, if not strictly adhered to could result in an injury to an officer or a lawsuit.
The primary responsibility of this position is encouraging economic development in the County and its communities. The position involves gathering information and preparing proposals, grant applications, and/or loan packages for infrastructure and community development projects along with coordinating related meetings, mailings, background materials, and required presentations; monitoring mine impact mitigation, utilization, and planning; and advising and assisting the Board of County Commissioners and preparing an annual report concerning activities to the Commission.
This will be an internship position which will perform duties to assist with the administration and enforcement of programs involving environmental health such as: food service programs, public accommodation programs, on-site wastewater treatment systems, and air quality. This position will assist with the administration and enforcement of Federal, State, and County laws and regulations.
