MSU/Stillwater County Extension has an opening for a part-time administrative support staff. This position will be the “face and voice” of MSU/Stillwater County Extension. Characteristics required will include a motivated, cordial, confident, team player who takes the initiative to learn. This position performs clerical duties, which require accuracy, timeliness, and attention to detail. Increasingly, much of this work is completed with the use of computer and other technology, organizing 4-H and other programs.
This position is responsible for appraising, and maintaining records and documents in accordance with state guidelines and records retention schedules. Must be able to operate computers and with various office software programs. Will work with departments in identifying and organizing records, and establishing procedures for storing and proper destruction of records.
This position performs professional and technical work in operation and maintaining the public library under the general supervision of the Chief Librarian. Must be able to assist with working with children, organizing and executing library programs. Must be familiar with computers and software applications. Must be able to work with the general public, coworkers and others in providing library services to the public.
This position is responsible for keeping all county buildings and grounds complexes clean, tidy, and safe from hazards. The position will be responsible for removing snow from sidewalks and stairs for county buildings and grounds in the winter and preform lawn maintenance duties such as mowing, trimming, watering and removing debris from the grounds. Will also perform building maintenance activities inside buildings as directed.
This position is responsible for operating the communications system for the Stillwater County Sheriff’s Department. Position is responsible for receiving all incoming calls and notifying the appropriate agencies or police officers of the situation and/or emergencies. This position performs operational duties which require attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness, which, if not strictly adhered to could result in an injury to an officer or a lawsuit.
