NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN THAT a petition has been filed with the Stillwater County Commissioners by Audrey Ott, to abandon a portion of 2nd Ave. N. in Reed Point, MT.  That portion of 2nd Ave. N. in Campbells 3rd Addition lying between Lot 1 Block 2 and Lots 1-6 Block 3, in the unincorporated town of Reed Point, MT, located in Stillwater County, Montana.

The Stillwater County Commissioners are now accepting applications for five (5) positions on Stillwater County Board of Adjustments.   This board is comprised of citizen representation, county-wide. The citizen members of the County Board of Adjustments shall be resident freeholders in the area over which the Board has jurisdiction. Members serve a 2-year term. The Stillwater County Board of County Commissioners will conduct a Public Hearing at 9:30 AM on Tuesday, November 9th, 2021 in the first-floor meeting room located in the Courthouse to receive comments and input concerning the adoption of the fee schedule for the Stillwater County Development Regulations.

The Stillwater County Planning Board will conduct a Public Hearing at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October 6th, 2021 at the Stillwater County Pavilion, 328 E. 5th Avenue North, Columbus, MT, to receive public comments and input regarding the proposed Amended Plat Holbert Subdivision, a 2 lot subsequent minor subdivision, located southeast of Columbus, on McNaley Road, on the northeast side of the intersection with Whitebird Creek Road, approximately 1.5 miles south of the intersection of Highway 78.  The property is legally described as Lot 1-A of Amended Plat 375420 located in Section 19, Township 3 South, Range 19 East, P.M.M., Stillwater County, Montana

The Stillwater County Planning Board will conduct a Public Hearing at 7:00 PM on October 6, 2021 in the Stillwater County Pavilion located at 328 E. 5th Avenue North, Columbus, MT, to receive comments and input concerning a variance request for the Hillbrook Estates Subdivision, Fourth Phase, a 14-lot, a residential subdivision located east of Park City, in Section 28, Township 2 South, Range 23 East, P.M.M., Stillwater County, Montana.

The variance request is from Section IV.I.4 of the Stillwater County Subdivision Regulations which requires that a major subdivision pave an internal road. The applicant is requesting to not construct or pave Elm Drive and Silverado Drive to Lot 40 on the north side of the subdivision.

ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH ESTABLISH SEPTIC SYSTEM PERMITTING FEES NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Board of County Commissioners will conduct a public hearing on Tuesday, August 17, 2021, at 9:00 AM, in the 1st Floor meeting room of the County Courthouse, 400 E. 3rd Avenue North, Columbus, MT, to consider establishing Septic System Permitting Fees for Environmental Health Department as recommended by the County Board of Health. The following, including but not limited to, proposed fees will be considered: Subdivision lot, resubmittal fees; wastewater systems, existing systems; new gravity-fed systems; new dosed systems, elevated sand mount; ET systems; drip irrigations; Gray water reuse, holding tanks; sealed pit privies, new multiple user wastewater system (non-public); deviation from circular; waiver from rules; reissuance of original approval statement; nondegradation reviews, septic system operating permits. The Commissioners will make a decision on Tuesday, August 31, 2021, at 9:00 AM during their agenda meeting located at the County Courthouse, 400 E. 3rd Avenue North, 1st Floor, Columbus, Montana. Myers Creek Road Closure

As of June 10, 2021, Myers Creek Road from the Ranger Station to the end has been closed. The road is unpassable and not safe for public travel. The County will be working towards a repair that can make the road safe at least for ATV travel.
