The Stillwater County Commissioners are accepting applications from Stillwater County residents willing to serve on the County Weed District Board. This board is comprised of representation, county-wide, and members serve four (4) year terms. Board members administer the weed district’s noxious weed management program and establishes management criteria for noxious weed on all land within the district in Stillwater County. Columbus/Stillwater County
Historic Preservation Commission 

The Stillwater County Commissioners are seeking a member to serve a 3-year term on the Columbus/Stillwater County Historic Preservation Commission. Applicant shall have a demonstrated interest, competence or knowledge in historic preservation.  The Historic Preservation Commission conducts a minimum of four (4) regular scheduled meetings each quarter of the year. The purpose and intent of the Historic Preservation Commission is to preserve and develop the unique historical qualities of Stillwater County by establishing a local preservation program. The Stillwater County Commissioners are now accepting applications for two (2) positions on the City-County Planning Board. The first position requires the Commissioners to select an applicant residing outside the incorporated city limits of Columbus, but within the boundary area of the City-County Planning Board that is bounded by Interstate 90, Yellowstone River, Rapelje Road and the east end of the Columbus Airport. The second position requires the Commissioners to select an applicant residing within the jurisdictional area of the City-County Planning Board. Members serve a 2-year term. The City-County Planning Board reviews proposed subdivisions and study other planning issues. Members meet the fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:30 P.M. and occasionally attend public hearings. The members of the City-County Planning Board shall be resident freeholders in the area over which the City-County Planning Board has jurisdiction.
