Weed District Board

The Stillwater County Commissioners are accepting applications from Stillwater County residents to serve on the County Weed District Board for an unexpired term which will expire December 31, 2021. Applications are also being accepted for a full-term position which will expire December 31, 2024.  This board is comprised of representation of citizens county-wide.   Board members meet quarterly or as needed to administer the weed district’s noxious weed management program and establishes management criteria for noxious weeds on all land within the district in Stillwater County. Interested persons can download an application at www.stillwatercountymt.gov and can contact Dana Weatherford, Weed District Coordinator, at 322-1106, for any questions regarding the position. The Stillwater County Commissioners are now accepting applications for four (4) positions on the County Planning Board. This board is comprised of citizen representation, county wide. The citizen members of the County Planning Board shall be resident freeholders in the area over which the County Planning Board has jurisdiction. Members serve a 2-year term. The Planning Board reviews proposed subdivisions and study other planning issues. Members meet the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00 P.M. and occasionally attend public hearings. City-County Planning Board

The Stillwater County Commissioners are now accepting applications for a position on the City-County Planning Board. The position requires the Commissioners to select an applicant residing outside the incorporated city limits of Columbus, but within the boundary area of the City-County Planning Board that is bounded by Interstate 90, Yellowstone River, Rapelje Road and the east end of the Columbus Airport. Members serve a 2-year term. The City-County Planning Board reviews proposed subdivisions and study other planning issues. Members meet the fourth Tuesday of each month at 5:30 P.M. and occasionally attend public hearings. The members of the City-County Planning Board shall be resident freeholders in the area over which the City-County Planning Board has jurisdiction.
